(New Haven Museum, June 2018)
“Gilbert” is part of the New Haven Museum’s year-long commemoration of WWI, comprised of micro-level views of The Great War based on the personal narratives of individuals from the New Haven area. Curated by Deborah G. Rossi, the exhibit depicts the story of WWI pilot Gilbert Jerome through correspondence and drawings home to his mother and sister.

Inspiration for branding came directly from Gilbert’s personal letters, including his own signature and many drawings. The show includes a life-size vinyl of the pilot welcoming you into the room and incorporates framed letters from the collection as well as enlarged reproductions of his drawings.
